A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Slams Vets Admin For Damning 900,000 Vets To Health Care Hell

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Slams Vets Admin For Damning 900,000 Vets To Health Care Hell: From Denny:  Like President Obama was warned when coming into his first term by outgoing President Bush 43, "Somewhere, every day, there is someone screwing up in the federal government."  Truer words could never have been spoken.  Who knew Bush was a government prophet?

For decades there have been serious problems going on at the Veterans Administration.  Along comes a new President and he throws a healthy extra billion dollars at the VA to fix the current problem, and, you guessed it, taxpayers are not getting their money's worth.

What it amounts to is that basically two greedy battling tech competitors set about to screw over 900,000 disabled veterans in desperate need of medical treatments and surgeries.  Does the insane and depraved indifference of greed never stop?  It's shameful what is happening over at the VA...

Computer Crashed This Week, Back Up Soon

From Denny: It had to happen sooner or later, right? The Dell Dimension was lingering like a slow tortoise crossing the road and stopping traffic. It just turned five years old.

After a few days of trying to fix it on my own I finally admitted defeat and took it into Office Depot. When I got the high quote I knew the Universe was advising me it was time to purchase a new one for practically the same price. It was just a couple of weeks ago I was in there, cruising the tech aisles, drooling over the terrabyte goodies while my husband grinned and shook his head.

So, yesterday, my husband looked at me and looked at the old guy Dell and said it was time to meet the new BFF guy on the block: HP. Happy Birthday to me a few weeks early. My husband turned to me today and said, "Someone's in a better mood - and so much happier. Welcome back to the plugged in human race." :)

Oh, and for the Fourth weekend Office Depot has lots of great sales on computers and other happy tech goodies.  If you are like me, finally having to part with an old friend, take a look around.  Who knows?  You just might meet the new love of your life!

Dennys Art Sanctuary: 38 Creative March Desktop Wallpapers

Dennys Art Sanctuary: 38 Creative March Desktop Wallpapers: "What do we think of when we reflect upon the month of March? We think of Winter ending, Spring coming in on the cool winds, soaking Spring rains, the trees leafing out and green weeds. There is the fun celebration of St. Patrick's Day. And there is the old adage, 'March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.' These designers took these all as their inspirations."

From Denny: Smashing Magazine has put out some real beauties for the "calendar challenged" where I culled out the most interesting and beautiful choices. Why print up a calendar  when you can display it on your monitor? Check out just a few of these beauties.

They come in several monitor resolution sizes - and without the calendar - if you just enjoy the photo.  You can even vote for your favorites on the site - which I did.  I figure if someone took the time to create, send, choose, upload and post them then I can vote for the ones I enjoyed the most. :)

Videos: Keeping up with the Swine Flu thru Apps

From Denny: Tracking the spread of the Swine Flu through your HealthMap phone app is a great way to stay up to date in case there are any rapid changes. The web is a great way for researchers to track the pandemic worldwide in real time. Previous to the technology revolution they were forced to wait for weeks or months to try and figure out what happened and how, waiting on statistics to get compiled and snail mailed.

A Guide to Chakra Healing

A Guide to Chakra Healing:

"Chakras, or wheels or discs, are the center of activity within the body, the gateway to the aura, absorbing and transmitting energy back into the environment around us. This continual flow of energy affects one's physical and mental well being and can be absorbed from absolutely everything within our environment.

According to ancient writings on the subject, there are a total of 88,000 different chakras that cover the entire body, with the majority of them being miniscule as well as insignificant. However, there are forty chakras that do have a significant purpose and are located within the hands, fingertips, feet, and shoulder areas.

The most important chakras of all are the seven main ones located along the body's central line, or the top of the head to the base of the spine. All of the chakras are in constant motion, vibrating and rotating in response to energy."

By TheresaAnn @ HubPages

From Denny: More in-depth article about chakras, more details, fascinating! Most articles about chakras either give descriptions of each chakra or discuss how to meditate upon each one. This article takes it a step further and describes the healing benefit from those meditations. Just click on the title link to take you to the rest of the article.

Science Articles You Might Enjoy

From Denny: Since I have too many interests I've parked them on other blogs in addition to this one. Apparently, most people start a blog, lose interest, abandon the first one to start another blog. Not me. I just keep expanding to ADD more blogs! (totally crazy, I suppose - but hey! I'm happy...)

Anyway, articles about how the brain works, astronomy, psychology, some math and physics on basic levels is what I park over at the blog The Soul Calendar. It keeps climbing in the traffic rankings quite nicely and I happily write about whatever catches my interest for the week! Life is good!

I'm still poking around the web for children's resources for parents and science projects readers might find interesting. If you know of any sites or projects, speak up and shoot me an email at warriorspearl@gmail.com, much appreciated!
