Especially this enterprising guy at a Colorado Springs, Colorado German restaurant. What was a restaurant to do but film the bear naked thief in case they had to take him to court?

Late-night snacking is a favorite with bears and this bear was notably out for the big score. He decided he wanted to keep snacking later in the day at his den so he hit on the idea of stealing the dumpster for an all day take away picnic lunch...

Dennys Funny Quotes: Check Out Funny Business Names in Louisiana: From Denny: Of the few local newspapers left in America - before they get gobbled up and homogenized by Big Business to turn a bigger profit - there are those small papers that still retain a local flavor. Baton Rouge, Louisiana and The Advocate is one of them.

A local reporter by the name of Smiley Anders has been collecting and writing this funny column since 1979 when he first started in the business. The public write in their true stories of funny situations that happened to them. The public also pass on local Cajun jokes for good measure.

One day Smiley was calling out for readers to send in funny business names they have seen in their Louisiana communities. Some of the names are downright odd and funny crazy. Some business owners actually invested in these silly names!...

Dennys Funny Quotes: Comic Jimmy Kimmels Plan To Save The U.S. Post Office: From Denny: These are outrageous times. To really save the post office and pull it out of huge debt is to start sending snail mail cards, letters and packages. Really?

Well, yeah, that obvious tactic would work and is a sensible one. After all, the post office lost over $1 billion just in the last quarter of 2012 - and that included the holiday season of which they apparently did not get much of a share of the business.

But what debt answer would be a lot more creative and fun? Comic Jimmy Kimmel has the answer. He advocates the President legalize marijuana and then put the U.S. Post Office to be the only guys who can deliver it. Outrageous? Maybe, uh, hmmm.... it's actually a monopoly idea that would work! Yay! Capitalism at work! :)

This photo from German newspaper 'Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung' shows a big blue 'Cookie Monster' with a giant golden biscuit which has been stolen from the Bahlsen biscuit company - it was part of the company's trademark sign. It came with a letter (right) claiming responsibility for the theft and demanding the company deliver free cookies to children's hospitals to get it back.

Barack, Sr. lived large, drank heavily and had multiple wives because he had come from a polygamous background. To him it was socially normal.

President Obama is rooted, extremely cautious, responsible, monogamous and an attentive father. He's the typical profile of the child of a raging alcoholic.

You see a lot of this reaction from the next generation in politics, the military and the intelligence community. Even President Bush 41 reacted in a similar fashion to his father, Senator Bush, who was an alcoholic."

Boy, I tell ya, a guy tries to help out some desperate people in a foreign country from getting slaughtered and all he gets is flak from the Republicans and comedians.

Of course, like so many sticky political situations, it's all about The Ego. The mostly male media ratchets up The Ego Meter by declaring Prez Obama is a wimp if he doesn't succeed at deposing Gadafi now that he's declared, 'Gadafi must go!' So, suddenly out come The Big Guns: the CIA operatives magicly appear in Libya 'advising' the rebel forces. Read that as, 'These guys are so clueless the only way to keep them alive is knock some sense into them and show them how to win.'"

How Laughter As The Best Medicine Works In Your Body

From Denny: Have you heard about Laughter Yoga? No kidding. What a fun way to exercise that is actually beneficial to your health. It's aerobic too.

What are the benefits of laughing an hour a day or several times a day?

* reduces detrimental stress hormones
* increases neural peptides called endorphins
* improves heart health
* frequent laughter improves circulation
* lowers blood pressure
* prevents cardiovascular disease
* increases oxygen to the brain
* boosts your immune system like producing more T-cells
* helps depression

Laughter really is the best medicine. More and more studies have been conducted to find out the benefits. Apparently, your body does not know the difference between your spontaneous laughter and faked laughter. So, "fake it till you make it works as well for your health," says Laughter Yoga instructor Dr. Alex Eingorn.

Researchers have discovered just how aerobic an exercise laughter can be when done for an hour at a time. Turns out that one minute of laughter is equal to as much as 10 minutes on the treadmill. Now which activity would you prefer: trudging uphill on a boring treadmill or laughing your head off till your sides hurt?

I think it's time I go start one of these Laughter Yoga clubs. Talk about cheap thrills - and it's healthy!

From Denny: Have you ever noticed how gift giving is always related to crafty politicians? They gift to their rich donors and take from those in need. So when holiday season comes around every year cartoonists are quick on the uptake to notice and offer their observations.

From Denny: This is about three week's worth of posts. Be sure to check out this post over at the science blog, The Soul Calendar, for the rare 500 year total lunar eclipse coinciding with the Winter Solstice tonight. I like to write my science with a bit of wit. It's so much easier to absorb facts when the writing is funny.

Also, lots of funny videos, comedy, jokes from the late night comedians lampooning the news and our crazy Congress. Their idea of "logic" is questionable sometimes. :)

For the Christmas and holiday season there are plenty of music videos to soothe the stress after rushing around shopping and visiting.

I've also started developing the arts blog, Dennys Art Sanctuary. It has been languishing far too long. The plan is to feature various artists along with the arts news.

What's also new is that I've started gathering all my poetry onto one blog, Poems From A Spiritual Heart. There are even poems there that have not posted on The Social Poets first.

So, take a look around, decompress, and enjoy yourself! Thank You for all your support this year. It's been a delight to write for you! What a wild ride! :)
