Good News: Good Grades Require Good Deeds Outside the Classroom

From Denny: There is a high school in downtown Los Angeles that has one unusual yet productive curriculum. Schools often teach good character to the students. But here at this school they take the process of developing good character to new heights. They require the students to give community service hours, in the form of good deeds, before they can graduate.

This program has proven popular with the students - and with the social service agencies who count on their help. This idea is such a great one we need to spread this program across America. Talk about develop strong children. It would also help with the staffing burden of social agencies during this economic crunch. Take a look at what these kids are learning and doing.
