Sickle Cell Anemia May be Cured From Stem Cell Research
From Denny: One of the ugliest diseases to get is sickle cell anemia often found in African-Americans and those of Middle Eastern descent. People are born with it. Up until recently it was like getting handed a death warrant the day you were born. Fortunately, researchers have made great strides in treating the disease so that patients can look forward to a long and healthy life, something many of them thought was never attainable.
